Where does the parking sign data come from?

From the NYC Department of Transportation's parking regulation data on NYC Open Data, which ParkSafe loads every day. Each sign's own wording is shown next to how ParkSafe reads it.

Does ParkSafe know about alternate side parking suspensions?

Yes. It follows the city's ASP calendar, so street cleaning signs show as clear on days alternate side parking is suspended, and the app can remind you about upcoming suspensions.

Does ParkSafe work outside New York City?

Not yet. ParkSafe covers the five boroughs of New York City.

Do I still need to read the parking signs?

Yes. Signs can change before the city updates its data, so always check the posted signs where you park. ParkSafe helps you understand them and remember when to move.
